GIMArts was born from the idea of combining the skills of our mâalem craftsmen with the creativity of international customers, architects and designers for the creation of personalized, unique and exclusive furnishings
Custom handcrafted furniture
All of our items are handmade by master craftsmen and can be customized in size, shape, workmanship / finish, design and colour. Our products do not belong to “prepackaged collections” but arise from customer specifications and are made to meet their expectations. GIMArts directly produces tables and fountains in mosaic, tiles and objects for table furniture in hand-painted ceramics, and for years has also made use of the collaboration of expert craftsmen, each specialized in a particular material or a specific process for the production of all items of the other furniture categories.
Handcrafted production
Our mâalem craftsmen use their savoir faire handed down from generation to generation to create unique and personalized artifacts that cannot be replicated by any modern technology: the laying of the mosaics, the hand drawings, the fretwork in the brass or the inlays in the wood are the evidence of these valuable skills.
Natural materials and colors
The rich lands of Morocco provide us with the natural materials we use to produce our items. Clay, copper, wood, iron and marble for the structural parts and flowers, fruits and spices to create the colors of our pigments, such as yellow from saffron, red from strawberries / poppies, green from tea / hydrangea, brown from pomegranate and violet from the beetroot. The variety of materials and pigments allows us to create furnishing items with a multitude of shapes and colors.
Quality and finishes
The quality of the materials used and the attention to the finishes in the various processes are our prerogative. The skills, patience and meticulousness of our expert craftsmen allow us to create complex, exclusive items characterized by unique details.
Unique furnishings
Each of our items is unique! All production phases are carried out by hand: from the creation of the model to the specific final finishes, they are made following the most ancient artisan techniques. The small differences between two pieces of the same model give each item a unique and exclusive character.
